Don't Forget 1 Kerb appeal is an oft-used phrase, and it should not be under-estimated in the selling of homes.
2 Similarly, a driveway (don't park your car on it when viewers come around), or parking areas, not only reduce insurance costs, but add to home frontages. 3 For garden buildings it is wise to check the planning regulations. Ridge height and construction materials are the main considerations. In theory you could add a home office, a gym, a cinema room and a jacuzzi/sauna room, in four different garden buildings. 4 You can even build a double timber garage without planning permission. All of these will add to the saleability of your property. Indeed, as with any property, depending on its type and the use of the outbuildings, it could also raise the value. |
